Educational Exhibits

The Educational Exhibit Building gives Calhoun County individuals and groups an opportunity to create informative and engaging displays for fair visitors. Exhibitors may enter and decorate multiple displays, with space assigned by the building superintendents.

Important Dates

Setup: Noon to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, or noon to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12
Judging: Tuesday, Oct. 13
Removal: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18

Display Rules

Display Space: Exhibit areas are assigned by the building superintendents and labeled for exhibitors when they arrive to set up.

Decorations: Tabletops and backboards may be decorated. Skirting and banners may be used on the front of the booth as long as they do not obstruct walkways.

Sales: Items or services may not be sold directly from the Educational Exhibit Building. Promotional and fundraising activities or information are allowed.

Lost Items: The Calhoun County Fair Association is not responsible for lost items.

Judging & Awards

Age Categories:
Youth: Ages 5-18
Adult: Ages 19 and older

Exhibit Types:
Individual Exhibit
Group Exhibit

Judging Criteria: Exhibits are scored from 1 to 25 points in each of these areas: originality/theme, use of color, educational value and overall attractiveness.

Awards: One Grand Champion, one Reserve Champion, one first place, one second place and one third place award may be given.
